USI Wireless Internet - The Suckiness Continues

For the last couple of days, google searches have yielded a suspicious error. Basically I type in a search phrase say "twin cities real estate"....I wait for my freshly indexed goodness. But do I get what I want...NO!

Instead I am greeted by an error message that says essentially:
"Your querly looks surprisingly similar to those used by computer generated requests (bots)....if you are not a bot we do apologize...please kindly enter this Captcha so that we may serve you your results that you as human being so rightly deserve."

Can I say for sure that this is caused by USI Wireless? No I don't know enough about network technology, but I do suspect that USI Wireless is routing my search traffic somehow or is forwarding my urls in manner that google doesn't appreciate. Regardless it's a internet error and at this point I tend to blame USI Wireless for most of my problems in that department, when in rome I guess?

I think the issue has something to do with the apc.aptillo error I see occasionally. I am guessing these are the folks that handle USI Wireless's registration utility...occasionally I get an error saying that a security certificate of theres doesn't match and do I want to continue anyways.....I don't care really...would just like to see USI Wireless get its act together.

/end rant.

Same thing

I've had the same experience with USI Wireless. Having never seen that Google message before when I had Qwest, Comcast, and even Multiband (yuck), I'm certain that it's USI.

Since I set up my Ruckus modem two weeks ago, I find myself using my iPhone's EDGE connection for web browsing or IMing because it's faster or more reliable--and my corner apartment even has a direct view of the USI access point!

I'll bet you're right

Sounds like a USI specific problem because I know I'm not experiencing it. And, well, it's really all about me! lol

USI Wireless is really disappointing

I could say several bad things about USI Wireless, but I want to be focused and to the point.

They have not updated their news or FAQs in a long while, yet they seem adequately staffed to handle customer service. People should not have to continually go to customer service for answers. It seems very guarded about what they disclose and they seem unwilling to commit to certain things on the record.

I am pretty sure I will not stay with the service, but I have tried to hang in there a little longer and be optimistic.

The google blocking is happening to me and its a pain in the ass.

come on say it....SAY IT...lol

The sad part is that Philly just folded their muni wifi....this is touted as the sucessful model!

Minneapolis & Philly

Minneapolis is the most successful. Earthlink really screwed up Philly and other cities. It is easy for Minneapolis to look good by comaparison.

I'm just amazed at how unwilling or unable USI Wireless has tried to build on their relative success to satisfy people.
1. Why is the highest speed connection still not available?
2. Why can't people have secure connection from their laptop.
3. Why have'nt they endorsed an outdoor antenna connection for stucco homes?
4. Why are the FAQ's so old and useless?

If things stay like this, Clearwire is going to mow them down.
